Rihanna & Britney Spears open the 2011 Billboard Music Awards with sizzling duet
Rihanna and Britney Spears performed their highly controversial song “S&M.” During the opening performance at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, Rihanna and Spears gave what has been described as a sexy performance the single.
In the build up to the show at the weekend, there have been rumors in the week regarding a possible performance between Spears and Rihanna. The fans were kept in the dark in that regard until the duo mounted the stage during the show. The audience was thrilled with pole dance, smooching between the two performers and pillow dance on stage.
The night however belonged to Justin Bieber and Eminem who won six awards on the night each with Eminem picking the coveted artist of the year award. The Billboard Music Awards was a household name until 2006 when the last event was held. The event was announced again for this year.
During this year’s show, popular musicians were honored for their careers. The top nominated stars included Eminem and Lady Gaga who had 16 and 12 nominations respectively. There were 18 categories in the awards which was held over the weekend at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
